THE 5 BEST HOSTELS IN SEVILLE

THE 5 BEST HOSTELS IN SEVILLE

With a population of around 700,000, Seville (or Seville in Spanish) is one of Spain’s most popular destinations.

Seville has a long and rich past to enjoy. Conquered by Islamic forces in 711, the region remained under Muslim rule for centuries. This gives the city a unique architectural and cultural complexity.

The historic center is a mix of narrow streets. and a courtyard filled with medieval buildings and open-air cafes. Stroll along the long plaza known as the Alameda de Hercules and past the two-thousand-year-old Roman ruins in the city center.

Seville (and all of Spain) is cheap, but you can stretch your budget for good food. The city and night life is easy

Fortunately, Seville has fun, friendly and affordable hostels that will help you save money and get the most out of your trip.

Below is my list of the best hostels in Seville.

But first, here are four things to keep in mind before choosing a hostel in Seville.

Location – Sevilla is not as big as Madrid or Barcelona. But there are some confusing medieval streets where you won’t get lost late at night. Choose a location that suits your itinerary.

Value – Like any other city you get what you pay for. If you choose a cheap hostel you will find hostels that are small and cramped and with poor service.

Facilities – All hostels in the city have free Wi-Fi and most have self-catering facilities. So you can cook for yourself Many places – but not all – include free breakfast. So do some research to find the best one that suits your needs.

Staff – All the hostels listed here have excellent staff who are friendly and knowledgeable. Even if you don’t live in one of the properties listed below. Be sure to check the reviews for friendly and helpful staff. They can make or break a dorm!

  1. La Banda Rooftop Hostel

La Banda is a lively and social hostel. Family meals are served every night on its terrace. Dine in southern Spain with views of the famous Seville Cathedral. (The bar has a happy hour every night.)

La Banda also has an in-house cocktail bar where you can mingle with other travelers and enjoy local sherry, vermouth and beer. There are also game nights, DJ performances, and flea market tours, making it a great place for solo travelers looking to meet new people.

All rooms have Wi-Fi, a private bathroom and air conditioning. The wooden dormitories have thick mattresses and curtains for privacy (there are also wardrobes), so you’ll sleep well.

  1. Hostel One Centro

The inn may be a chain, but its accommodations are always top notch. Seville is clean, organized and social. There are also plenty of activities such as day trips and late night bar crawls.

If you don’t feel like going out and/or saving money, Hostel One also offers family-style dinners filled with international and Spanish dishes. There is also a shared kitchen, so you can cook if you’re on a budget.

The beds here are basic – metal ones, and the mattresses aren’t too thick – but there are curtains for privacy so you can at least try to get a good night’s sleep.

  1. The Nomad Hostel

Nomad in the center of Seville is a social and eco-friendly hostel with just a few simple rooms, and a great choice for anyone who needs quiet time to work and socialize – digital nomads. A more fun and lively place. There is also a rooftop sundeck where the staff organizes dinners and other social events.

The wooden bunk beds are basic (no curtains and the blankets aren’t very thick), but each bed has sockets, reading utensils, and lockers for your belongings. Also in the women’s dormitory, the bathrooms are always very clean.

  1. Oasis Backpackers Sevilla Palace

The staff at this place always go above and beyond: they organize many events, including paella nights, free walking tours of the city’s history, flamenco shows, and pub crawls. There’s a rooftop terrace for relaxing and socializing, as well as a plunge pool to help you unwind.

All rooms have air conditioning (you’ll understand how important that is if you stay here in the summer), Wi-Fi, and individual bedside lights. The only downside is that the beds aren’t great – just no curtains for privacy and a good mattress. But the hostel’s social atmosphere is more than that.
